Mona Nia, Esq., LL.M.

Mona Nia is the founder and owner of Nia Law PC, bringing nearly a decade of experience representing clients in all aspects of estate planning, conservatorships, probate, and trust and estate litigation. She has built her practice on providing strategic, thoughtful counsel and is particularly experienced in representing professional fiduciaries and handling complex conservatorship and trust litigation matters.

Before launching her firm, Mona spent much of her career at The Bray Law Firm LLP, where she joined as an associate in 2017 and became a partner in 2021, serving in that role through 2024. She was closely mentored by Oliver W. Bray, one of the foremost specialists in trust and estate law.  In addition to her litigation and planning practice, she was actively involved in mentoring and training associate attorneys at the firm.

Mona earned her LL.M. (Master of Laws) in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law with honors and was recognized with the top award in her graduating class for outstanding achievement in the program. She holds a J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she specialized in Family Law and Public Interest Law, and a B.A. in Political Science with an emphasis in Political Theory from the University of California, Davis. 

Earlier in her career, Mona clerked with the Contra Costa County Probate Department, gaining valuable insight into the judicial process through drafting trial orders, presenting ex parte petitions, and assisting probate examiners with tentative rulings. She also practiced at boutique law firms in Walnut Creek and San Francisco, where she focused on family law litigation and complex estate planning matters.  With her prior experience as both a family law paralegal and associate attorney, she currently specializes in estate planning during dissolutions of marriage and dissolutions of marriage involving parties who are involved in conservatorships.

Mona remains actively engaged in the legal community. She serves on the board of the Trusts & Estates Section of the Contra Costa County Bar Association and previously served on the board of its Elder Law Section. She is also a Barrister with the Robert G. McGrath American Inn of Court and an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Diablo Valley.

As a lifelong resident of Contra Costa County, Mona graduated from Acalanes High School and continues to live in Lafayette with her husband and daughter.

Hani Ganji, Esq.

Of Counsel

Hani is Of Counsel at the firm, where he brings over 15 years of extensive trial experience and a deep commitment to protecting vulnerable individuals. He is experienced in personal injury and representing conservators and professional fiduciaries in matters involving financial exploitation, physical abuse, and neglect of elders and dependent adults.

Prior to joining the firm, Hani practiced at Hanson Bridgett LLP and Clyde & Co, where he developed a strong foundation in complex litigation and sophisticated client advocacy. This background informs his strategic, disciplined approach to elder abuse litigation and fiduciary representation. He is currently a Partner with Kermani LLP, a firm that has won over 100 million dollars for their injured clients.

Known for his thoughtful and effective advocacy, Hani has been recognized as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star,” an honor awarded to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in California.

During law school, Hani externed for the California Supreme Court under Justice Ming Chin, served as a senior editor on the Hastings Law Journal, and competed on Hastings’ nationally acclaimed Moot Court Team.

Outside the courtroom, Hani is actively engaged in public service. He served on the advisory boards of Moms Against Poverty, a nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood poverty worldwide, and served as the past president of the Iranian American Bar Association Northern California Chapter, which advocates for immigrant and minority rights.

Hani is committed to holding wrongdoers accountable and ensuring that elderly and dependent adults receive the dignity, protection, and justice they deserve.
